The BOYS Hit the TOWN AGAIN!!!

2010....The Boys Hit the CITY NIGHT one more time...and have a dynamic meal at McCormmick & Schmidlocks...our host for the evening was Fred Groser. Fred, Don, Kevin, Ralph, Rob, Gary, Ralph JR, Mikey (next year's 2011 host), Rich, Chris, myself...and our guest Louis...who vows to be there next year...and wants a hosting...we'll see. We missed Joe for the second year in a row...and might be losing his status..and could be joining next year as a newbie..again. Except for the excessive walk after dinner to Central Park and the Plaza Hotel...and stopping for Louis to get a dirty-old-man hotdog at the vendor stand just after dinner...we all had a great time as usual...did we lose you again, Ralph???

CITY WALK 2008

December 22nd....the CITY WALK 2008 took place with a feast for 12 with only 10 of us there at Carmine's. We missed Fred this year and we had a newbie coming...but he got stuck in a snowstorm in New Hampshire. We started with a cold antipasto, calamari, garlic bread, 2 orders of eggplant parmigiana....then 2 orders of chicken marsala, penne ala vodka, sausage, peppers & onions, the pasta specialty of the day...which was with sun dried tomatoes, sausage and broccoli rabe....we washed it down with coffees and some tiramisu and the TITANIC. A casual freezing walk to St. Patty's and then onto see THE TREE...and this picture was proof. Another great day.....thanks guys.

THIS YEAR WAS SPENT WALKING AROUND ENDLESSLY UNTIL DON'S DOGS WERE BARKING...AFTER CIRCLING BRYANT PARK TWICE, VISITING HERALD SQUARE, THE NEW CITY LIBRARY, TIMES SQUARE AND A QUICK STOP TO VISIT WITH COUSIN MARYANN, A CIGAR FROM J&R'S...WE FINALY DID END UP EATING SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN THERE AT VIRGIL'S BAR-B-Q....ErrrrP...GOOD! A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL

The Few...The Pround...The Leftovers

Well....The original reservation at the wonderful Carmines's family-style Italian restaurant on 44th and 7th in NYC was 9 ....and lucky for us ...they sat us with only 5 people...Mikey elected to attend his girlfriends Christmas party...Fred opted for a chance to be with old basketball school buddies from yesteryear...Don would have died to go if he wasn't laid up in a hospital bed waiting for a pacemaker...and Chris was a no-show....the meal was abundant...sharing a magnum of house red wine...2 appetizers and home-made italian bread...cold antipasto and fried calamari, wetted our appetite...we only ordered 3 entrees of eggplant parmesaen...veal in lemon an butter sauce...and the specialy pasta of the day...penne in a red cream sauce with mushrooms. onions and prosuitto....and for dessert...not to be pigs...the 5 of us shared only 1 dessert...simply called "The Titanic"....everyone seemed to have had enough...and enjoyed thoroughly. Can't wait till next year guys....Thanks

MOB HITS CITY DURING HOLIDAYS

The Daily News and Newsday have both reported a sighting of members of "the Family"....in New York City over this holiday season. Sources say there were no known incidents and that no one had been found floating in the Hudson for weeks...They had been seen eating dinner in a downtown eatery known as Mesa Grill...and had been seen near Rockefeller Centre, Radio City, and St. Patricks Cathedral...being entertained by an Asian musical group singing Fa-Ra-Ra-Ra-Ra
